Harrison Asher Smith

Hey, it's Harrison.
Born and raised Jersey-strong, I hold a BFA in Musical Theatre and a BA in Linguistics with a concentration in ASL Interpreting from Montclair State University. My love for musical theatre began in elementary school choir and deepened through years of competitive dance training. Today, I’m proud to work as a professional actor while actively pursuing certification as an American Sign Language interpreter.

If you’re not reaching out for a submission, feel free to ask me about how social media accelerates linguistic evolution, why language accessibility in the arts is essential, or how queer and BIPOC slang is being widely circulated online in ways that can dilute the voices of the communities it comes from. Or just ask me out for a drink—I’ll probably bring it up anyway (I promise I’m fun at parties).
